Students call me Mrs. Baarts.
My family and friends call me Lin.
My husband and I have been blessed
with three adult children and eight
grandchildren. My husband's
career has moved us to many parts of
the US. Over the years, I have
sold Avon, counseled unwed parents,
was a school secretary, and was the
executive assistant to the President
and CEO of a Fortune 500 company and
a teacher.I graduated from
Mankato State University, which is
now part of the U of MN. I
have a BA in Sociology with minors
in both Psychology and
English. My first teaching
experience was in Greenville, SC
teaching English in high school.
Several moves later we are back in
Wisconsin where I have been a
substitute teacher for all grades
from pre-school through 12th grade.
My desire is to continue my
journey through life giving back and
sharing the gifts God has given me.
I am blessed with "something" that
has the students and I sharing love
and a continuing and growing
admiration for each other. I
hope to continue to bestow upon them
my love for books and learning.
They, in turn, try their best to
explain to me all of the things my
cell phone can do.
