I began working with preschool
students as an aide during the 1993-1994 school year. I enrolled
in early childhood classes and received my two year certificate
as a preschool teacher. I began teaching in January of 1994 at
which time I enrolled in classes and received my certificate as
a Program Director.
My husband Gordie and I have been married for twenty-five
years. We love to camp and spend most of our summer at our
camping resort in Plymouth. I also enjoy painting ceramics and I
teach country line dancing two nights a week. I have been line
dancing for twenty years. We have lived in Racine for
twenty-five years and are members of Peace Lutheran Church.
We have five children (four sons and one daughter). Our
oldest son, Jim, his wife Amy and granddaughter Taylor live in Oshkosh. Our son
Curt, his wife Kelly and grandson Nathan live in Racine. Clint,
his wife Erica and two grandchildren, Luis and Mariah live in
Joliet, Illinois. Our daughter Becky and
granddaughter Kendyll live in Racine. Becky is back to
college to pursue a Masters in early childhood education.
She is also working at Concordia as my Aide. Our youngest
son Craig is in the army stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas.
