**************************************** MARKET DAY ORDER FORMS Dessert bonus days are here!! The more desserts purchased the more we earn. Keep a Mint Brownie Blast or a Cherry Streusel Pie on hand for those unexpected visits. Easy and delicious!! The family with the highest number of pie orders will receive a FREE French Silk Pie with their order this month!! (In the event of a tie the pie will go to the order with the highest overall dollar total.) There are also many wonderful meal items to choose from on special, as well. Orders are due back to school by Weds. February 22nd or online by Sat. February 25th. Pick up is set for Weds. February 29th from 3:30 – 4:30 pm, right here! PARENTAL PRIVATE SCHOOL CHOICE APPLICATIONS will be accepted this Friday from 2 – 4 p.m. in the school office. This is the last scheduled application period for February. (Through Feb. 20th all other applications are accepted by appointment only.) Current families (and other private school families) who have students entering kindergarten and first grade are eligible to apply for a voucher providing they meet the income guidelines and reside in the RUSD. Applications will also be accepted in grades K-8 for students that are not currently enrolled in a private school. Please tell your friends! Contact the office with questions. CELL PHONE POLICY Please keep in mind that cell phones are NOT to be on the premises unless the student has a permission slip completed by a parent. In addition, even those with permission to have a cell phone on the premises must note that they may NOT be on or used during school hours. This includes Before/After School Care. Cell phones that are visible anytime during the school day or in Child Care will be confiscated and retained in the school office until a parent comes to retrieve the phone. JUMP INTO IT! It’s almost time for our annual Jump Rope for Heart event. Please review the materials your child brought home today and begin by collecting donations for this important cause. Kids can even create their own Jump Rope for Heart Web Page to raise donations! Please help fight our nation’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers, heart disease and stroke. Jump into it! Our event is Friday, March 9th – start collecting now. We hope to top our total of $3268.00 from 2011! REFER A FAMILY AND SAVE A Concordia family referring a new family into the school will receive a $200.00 discount off tuition to be paid out in the last month of the school year. The new family will have the standard registration fees waived by receiving a voucher for this purpose from the Concordia referring family. Vouchers were sent home with all students last week! Please share these with people you know desiring an excellent Christian education. EARN TUITION CREDIT – Simply order SCRIP. See the attached order form. Orders are due in our office by 10:00 a.m. on February 20th BOX TOP REMINDER We will be sending in collected Box Top coupons by February 27th, 2012 (four month collection). If you have been saving these, please bring them to school or church no later than February 24th so they can be counted and included in this shipment. Since our last count on October 31, 2011 we have collected 4,513 (eight month collection). That doesn’t include those that were entered online. Thank you for your help!! HOT DOG DAY SERVERS NEEDED If you are able to assist with serving between the hours of 11:00 am and 1:00 pm and desire to earn volunteer hours doing so on Tuesday, March 6th and 13th, please contact the office to let us know! WINTERIM Another exciting day has been planned for Friday, March 2nd. A multitude of skills, hobbies and professions await your child. A fee of $6.00 will be required for each child (PK = $3.00. to offset materials needed for this day. Please note the separate request for this fee in your child’s folder today and return it to school promptly. If you can loan us a set of hands on the date, please note that on the form as well! Finally, if you have any of the following that you can donate for this day it would be greatly appreciated. We need: small appliances that no longer work: clocks, radios, etc. which can be taken apart with a screwdriver. Thank you! 2012-2013 ENROLLMENT - Have you filled out your registration form for next year yet? Please send it in soon! A minimum $100 deposit must accompany the form ($65.00 for Preschool). Your early enrollment (prior to April 1) saves you $45.00 and allows us to project class sizes for next year. We look forward to serving you and our growing community. MARK YOUR CALENDARS…EAGLE B SQUAD TOURNAMENT: February 23-26th Did you know this tournament hosted by Concordia Eagle Athletic Boosters is the biggest fundraiser for our school athletic fund…as well as a great time to watch exciting basketball?! We will need your help to make this tournament a success! Watch soon for volunteer opportunities, including tickets, concessions, and for all of our fine cooks…concession pre-baking! CHAPEL OFFERINGS As we enter the new year we pray God’s blessing on our gifts on directed in support of the Sheboygan Chaplaincy Ministry. This special ministry brings the Good News to the elderly, infirmed and developmentally disabled at area nursing homes and assisted living centers. Bedside visits, Chapel services, congregational preaching and patient/staff counseling are just a few of the important services provided by this ministry. Please use the envelopes sent home each week to support this cause. The last week we collected a total of $37.02 for a grand total thus far of $223.38 for this project. We have just three more collections for this project. Our goal is to collect $350.00. Please give generously. We are so very proud of your efforts! Racine Lutheran High School Announcements The first Enrollment Period for the Parental Private School Choice Program has begun. If you are interested in applying for a voucher for the 2012-2013 school year, you should call the RLHS school office on Feb. 1 to set up an appointment. You must have your completed 2011 tax returns and other documentation at the time of your appointment. *Parents of 8th grade students who are interested in participating in a Shadow Day should call the RLHS Admissions Office at 637-6538 to arrange a convenient day. *Parents who have questions are encouraged to call the school for answers. We want to make sure you have accurate information about our academics, extracurricular activities, schedules, events and business matters. We’re just a phone call away at 637-6538. *The next Placement Test for prospective students is scheduled for Tuesday, March 27, from 6 until 7 p.m. More than 50 future Crusaders have already completed this required step toward enrollment in the Class of 2016.
